Why go to the Salon?

I know a ton of people who are all into having their nails all done and looking gorgeous, I'm one of them. But lets get real, who has the money to go to a nail salon every couple of weeks to get them done so they look professional? No one! So I've come up with a solution for us poor broke girls. Scotch Tape, and some cheep Walmart nail polish. truthfully Walmart has some of the best nail polish colors, no there not brand name, but there cute!

All you do is first, paint your nail like normal. Once dry cover all the parts of the nail (that you want to keep this original color) with your Scotch Tape.

Then with your second coat repaint your nails. Once their dry remove the tape and wam bam thank you ma'am you have some cute looking nails! Doing this saves you the time and money you would have put towards the salon, that you can now put towards studying! Or shopping, i like shopping.

Mod Podge Recipe

First off, for those of you who are unaware of what Mod Podge ( or as I think of it God in a jar) is, Mod Podge is a acid-free glue that can also be used as a gloss or varnish; popular among people who craft, or for school projects.

Personally I use this stuff on everything; from glittering my phone charger, to putting pictures on canvases. Honestly and truly I recommend this product to everyone out there. The only bad thing is that Mod Podge is super expensive, and If your living on a budget that just allows you to buy your Chicken Ramon Noodles that's a problem.

Solution? My home made Mod Podge recipe. Very simple, it's 50% Elmer's Glue, 50% plain old water from your kitchen sink. Usually Elmer's glue is what, around $2.00? Mod Podge is close to $10.00 depending on what size bottle you get. Plus it's back to school time, so glue is a quarter!
